Nathaniel E. Tillman made his entrance into this world on December 8, 1974, the third child of four children born to the late William A. Sr. and Alice “Betty” Williams Tillman, in Columbia, South Carolina. He peacefully entered eternal rest on Saturday, July 5, 2025.
Nate as he was affectionately called by family and friends, was a graduate of C. A. Johnson High School. Shortly after graduating he entered the work force. His last place of employment was with the City of Columbia.
Nate was always a gentle kind soul who never knew how to say “no.” He shared everything he had. He would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. Nate loved his music, and he enjoyed fishing, grilling, and visiting with friends and family. Even though he endured mental health challenges, he still remained a man of generosity and integrity. Nathaniel never married or fathered any children or as he would say “none that he knew of.”
Though he is no longer physically with us, he has left a legacy of love that will be remembered by all those who loved and knew him.
He leaves behind to cherish precious memories his loving sister, Ms. Margaret Tillman; caring brothers, Mr. William (Leisa)Tillman Jr., and Mr. Michael Tillman (his baby brother; (3) nephews, Ryant (Chantia) Errick, and Markilyn; (5) nieces, Julesa, Lakia, Kyndal, Alacia, and Emyia; (2) great nephews, Jamare’ and Baby William; (2) great nieces, Jaleah and Charya; and a host of other loving relatives and dear friends all of whom will miss him dearly.
