Mother Lovinia McKeever Obituary

Mother Lovinia Hudson McKeever was born on August 24, 1950, in Pontiac, South Carolina, the beloved daughter of the late Mason and Marandy Wilson Hudson. She entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 17, 2026, peacefully at home, surrounded by her loved ones.

Lovinia received her education in the public schools of South Carolina and was a proud graduate of Hanberry High School, Class of 1969. She furthered her education by attending Preston College and Millie Lewis Modeling School. She was employed for many years at Fresenius Medical Care West Columbia Dialysis, where she worked faithfully until her health began to decline. In addition, she was the owner and operator of McKeever’s Trucking, which she managed for several years.

At an early age, Lovinia was baptized according to Acts 2:38 at Progressive Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ, where she also received the gift of the Holy Ghost. In 2002, she became a founding member of Triumph Church of Jesus Apostolic. There, Mother McKeever served faithfully as a missionary, sang in the choir, and worked diligently on the Benevolence Committee. She was always willing to help wherever there was a need.

Lovinia found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved watching the news and soap operas, cheering for her Pittsburgh Steelers during football season, horseback riding, bowling, listening to music, tending to her plants, spending quality time with family, and enjoying her beloved Mountain Dews.

In  addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her son, Darron E. Hudson; her husband, Kemble R. McKeever; and siblings, Florence H. Black, Earline H. Jackson, Lina H. Bennett, Varnetta H. Samuel, Cynthia L. Cornish, Hampton Hudson, Leroy Hudson, Clarence Hudson, Willie Hudson, Ronnie Hudson, and Milton Hudson.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories her daughter, Valarie W. Lindsay;  son, Kemble R. Lindsay; grandsons, Jaylen D. Davis, Kemble R. McKeever III, Kameron Z. McKeever, and Kaleb D. McKeever; and her granddaughter by love, Shambria N. Hudson. She is also survived by her sister, Isabel H. Lawhorn; sister-in-law, Dorothy L. Robinson; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives, and dear friends, all of whom are sadden by her departure, but rejoice that she is now resting with the Lord.
