Minnie Bradley Obituary

Minnie Louise Bradley was born February 2, 1958, in Columbia, South Carolina, the beloved daughter of the late Sherman and Elnoria McKenney Robinson. Minnie, affectionately known as “Shirley Ann,” departed this earthly life on Friday, May 23, 2025, at PRISMA Health Richland in Columbia, SC.

Minnie was educated in the public schools of Richland County. She was united in Holy Matrimony to Charles Bradley, Sr. with whom she shared a devoted life of love and devotion, the birth of a daughter, and the adoption of four children, all of whom she cherished and motived them to love others as God loved them, to have faith in God, about prayer, and how to be the best person they could.

Throughout her life her passion was cooking and loving children, which led her to the field of caregiving where she worked as a Nursing Aide. She was employed at Fort Jackson Army Base as head cook, and later at the Lowman Home in White Rock, SC. Shirley Ann had a gift for encouraging others with the word of God which gave them hope, peace and love.

Shirley Ann was reared in a godly, Christian home which guided her faith in Jesus Christ proclaiming Him as her Lord and Savior. She was baptized and was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and loved sharing the message of Jesus Christ with others. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star.

Though she is no longer physically with us, she has left her vibrant spirit that will live on in the hearts and lives of all those who loved and knew her.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Alice Jean Robinson.

Shirley Ann leaves to cherish her fond and precious memories to her loving husband, Charles Bradley, Sr.; loving daughters, Sabrina (Stanley) Hector of Boston, MA, and Nora Brandley of New York; loving sons, Charles Bradley, Jr.,  Carlos Bradley and James Bradley all of Columbia, SC; three grandchildren, Stanley Hector, Sabria Hector and William Allen; three great-grandchildren, Melliah Belanger, Willanie Allen, and Willasia Allen; her caring brother, William Jones; a host of nephews, nieces, and other loving relatives and dear friends, all of whom will dearly miss her, but rejoice that she is now resting with the Lord.
