Minister Amie Bernice McKenney was a beautiful, loving, and caring soul who came into this world on August 14, 1952, the beloved daughter of the late Pastor Carson McKenney and Bishop Maude Albert, she was the seventh of thirteen children.
Born in Bishopville, South Carolina, Amie dedicated many years of service as a Security Guard at Burns Security. Having given her life to Christ at an early age, she was a devout believer in God’s word and the power of outreach. This passion led her to serve as an outreach advocate for Kershaw County District 1, where she counseled and ministered to countless children and families in crises. In her leisure time, Amie found joy in roller skating, crafting, bowling, and traveling.
Her faith, her kindness, and her incredibly joyous spirit was seen and felt by all who knew her. A dedicated member of St. James Apostolic Church, where she was appointed as a minister. Amie was known for her kindhearted disposition, her unwavering love for her family, and her commitment to sharing the goodness of God wherever she went.
On Saturday, March 21, 2026, Amie transitioned from this world, called home to be with the Lord.
