Milton Johnson Obituary

Mr. Milton Johnson, affectionately known to family and friends as        “Mr. J” was born April 7, 1952 in Huntsville, Alabama to the late Henry Johnson and Mattie Johnson.  He departed this earthly life on April 13, 2021 to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Milton was educated in the public schools of Huntsville, Alabama.  After graduating, he enlisted in the Army.  He honorably served our country for 30 years.  After retiring, he went back to work, assisting Veterans at the VA Hospital in Columbia, SC.

Milton married the love of his life, Ernestine Johnson and remained married for 46 years.  Out of this union, two children were born, Denise and Juleta.

Milton was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife of 46 years, Ernestine Johnson and his five brothers, Tommie, Henry Jr., Nathaniel, James and Anthony Johnson.

Milton leaves to cherish his precious memories, two daughters, Denise Johnson (Terris) Gamble and Juleta Johnson; Eddie (Sabrina) Green and Doris Green whom he loved like his own children; two brothers, Joseph (Karyn) Johnson of Atlanta, GA and Timothy Johnson of Huntsville, AL; three sisters, Brenda (Bobby) Readus, Mary (Larry) Burks and Tersa (Aaron) Patton all of Huntsville, Alabama; one aunt, Annie Johnson King of Huntsville, AL.  His grandchildren, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends will also cherish his memories.  Milton will be missed by all who loved him dearly.
