Mildred Hudson Bradford

Mrs. Mildred H, Bradford was born on December 29, 1945 in Richland County, South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Malon and Veola English-Hudson. On Thursday, November 26, 2020 she departed this life at Pruitt Health Nursing Home in Covington, Georgia.

Early in her life, Mrs. Bradford accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. Her spiritual journey led her to Jerusalem Baptist Church in Hopkins, SC where she was a Sunday school teacher and a member of the Missionary and Jubilee Choir.

She received her formal education in Richland County Public Schools and graduated in 1964 from bethel High School of Blythewood, SC. She began her career as a medical secretary at Craft-Farrow State Hospital. She later transferred to Columbia Hospital and retired after 26 years of Service from Richland Memorial Hospital, now known as Prisma Health Richland Hospital.

After her retirement, Mrs. Bradford followed many passions, traveling and spending time with her family and friends. She joined the South Carolina Combat Veterans and enjoyed being a grandmother in the Richland County District 2 schools.

She was preceded in death by he first husband, David T. Dixon III; second husband, Solomon Bradford; son, Dennis Tyrone Dixon; brothers, Vernelle and Roosevelt Hudson and a sister, Eloise L. Able  

Mrs. Bradford leaves to cherish precious memories, her son David T. Dixon IV; daughter, Monica T. Dixon; brother, Donald Irving Hudson; sister, Naomi Ruth (Richard) Hudson-Benjamin and a host of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.
