Maurice E. Collins

Maurice E. Collins was born on October 24, 1970, in Concord, North Carolina, the beloved son of Linda Collins Robinson and the late Andrew Lee Martin.  He departed on Monday, May 12, 2025, at Prisma Health Richland Hospital, in Columbia, SC.

He attended public schools in Cabarrus County where he played football for A.L. Brown High School. He loved to cook, play music, and talk on the phone with his children and grandchildren.

In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by his grandmother, Lorraine Martin.

He leaves to cherish loving memories to his loving mother, Linda Collins Robinson of Columbia, South Carolina; brother and cousin, Jerry Martin of Landis, North Carolina; his one and only daughter, Marsha Springs of Charlotte, North Carolina; five sons, Maurice Collins Powell of New Bern, North Carolina; Richard Forbis; Rodney Forbis; Marcos Springs, all of Charlotte, North Carolina; and Damarion Collins of Columbia, South Carolina; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and other loving relatives and dear friends, all of whom will dearly miss him.
