Maurice Mocha Cornelius Green

Maurice Mocha Cornelius Green was born December 28, 1995, in Columbia, South Carolina, the beloved son of Teresa Boston and the late Henry Hill, Jr.  Maurice departed this life on Tuesday, August 19, 2025.

Maurice attended Richland County School District One and worked several jobs around the City of Columbia.  “Moe”, as he was affectionately called by family and friends always had a happy aura around him.  He was a fun and loving husband, who had a big heart.  If there was ever anyone in need, he would give them the shirt off his back.  He also will be remembered for cooking for family and friends and loving everyone’s children. If you knew Maurice, you knew he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and making others laugh. To know Moe was to love him!

Maurice was blessed with an old soul, and he enjoyed life no matter what others said.  Though he is no longer physically with us, he has left a legacy of love and laughter to all those who loved and knew him.

Maurice is lovingly survived by his wife, Tashanda Parker Green; his mother, Teresa Boston; stepmother, Peggy Hill; brothers, Henry Hill III and Devante Jones; sister, Floral Hill; aunt, Carolyn Brown; uncle, Roy Boston; two special cousins, Terrell Crim and Datwan Green; godchildren, Ziggy and Mema; Maurice AKA Papa helped raise his grandchildren, King, Million, Kash, Brooke, Braylen, and Bean; his favorite nephew, Henry Hill; best friends, Ely, Devin, Bop and Nisha; a host uncles, aunts, and other loving relatives and dear friends, all of whom will dearly miss him.
