Mary Delores Stroman was born on November 12, 1956, the beloved daughter of Odell Robinson and Mozell Haynes in Orangeburg County, South Carolina. She gained her wings at Prisma Richland Hospital on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 11, 2025.
Affectionately called “Lois” by her family and friends, Mary began her education in Orangeburg County Schools and graduated from Hunter Kinard Tyler High School in Neeses, South Carolina in 1975. She continued her studies at Benedict College and the University of South Carolina. She worked for the Internal Medicine Associates until she retired in 2018.
Mary’s only daughter, Olympia “Peaches” Tarosalyn Stroman Tuff was born on July 12, 1976. Mary was united in Holy Matrimony to Charles Lindbergh Stroman in September of 1977 for 11 years. Her first son, Charles Nikimo “Nikkee” Stroman was born December 18, 1979. Her youngest son, Ralpheal “Ralph” Laquan Coleman was born January 8, 1991.
Mary loved her family and friends dearly. She enjoyed bringing them together or joining them for a cookout, party, event, or social gathering. She loved music and used to deejay in the 80’s. She LOVED to SHOP and buy gifts for her loved ones. She enjoyed playing spades, cooking, taking pictures, being the life of the party, making people laugh and having the most beautiful smile that could light up a room.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Odell Robinson, and Mozell Haynes; sisters, Dorothy Gilliam, Vera Mae Jackson, Shirley Edwards; and brothers, Leonard Robinson and Willie Haynes Jr.
Those who are left to cherish fond and precious memories are her loving daughter, Olympia “Peaches” Tarosalyn Stroman Tuff of Blythewood, SC, sons, Charles (Audrey) Nakimo “Nikkee” Stroman of Tega Cay, SC and Ralpheal “Ralph” Laquan Coleman of Columbia, SC; grandchildren, DeJesuzian “DeeJay” N’Kozi Tuff of Columbia, SC, Charles Tyson Stroman of Tega Cay, SC, Chambre “Bre” Olivia Tuff of Blythewood, SC, Jordan Alexander Stroman of Tega Cay, SC, Gabrielle Laila Stroman of Tega Cay, SC, Aiden Micha Davis of Florence, SC, and Jordan Jerome Coleman of Columbia, SC; honorary grandsons, Josiah and Jeremiah Hill; caring sisters, Mary Dean Perry of Wagner, SC, Gloria Dean Abdul of Far Rockaway, NY, and Matilda Ann Bing of Augusta, GA; caring brother, Odell Robinson Jr; loving aunt, Louise Amaker of Maryland, and host of nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and her best friend, Glossine Jackson of Hopkins, SC, all of whom will dearly miss her.
