Mary N. Anderson

Mary Nelson Anderson was born on May 19, 1947 to the late Medicar and Janie Nelson of Ahoski, North Carolina. She passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Mary was educated in the public schools of Richland County School District one. She was united in holy matrimony to the late Jacob Anderson, Sr. and to their union, six children were born.

Mary was baptized at an early age and later joined Friendship Baptist Church in Hopkins, South, Carolina, where she served faithfully as an usher. 

Mary had a fulfilling career as a Certified Nurse Assistant at the Old Columbia Hospital – later Richland Memorial Hospital, now Prisma Health Richland.  Mary went on to word for Richladn School District One as a bus driver.

Though Mary is no longer physically with us, she has left a legacy of love, devotion, kindness and friendship to all those who loved and knew her.

Mary leaves to cherish her precious and loving memories, her children, Lily (Ervin) Maybry, McArthur Davis, Jacqueline Anderson, Pandora Anderson, Valerie Anderson, Jacob Anderson, Jr., Timothy Harris, and Michael (Julie) Davis; sisters, Bessie Nelson, MaeBelle Padgett and Fanie Nelson; brother, Alexander Nelson; 21 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 1 aunt, Brucie Worrell; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and other loving relatives and dear friends that will miss her dearly.
