Mary Anderson

Ms. Mary Elizabeth Anderson was born January 19, 1953 in Columbia, South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late George Thomas Green and the late Jessie Bell Reese Green. On Tuesday, February 19, 2019, our beloved Mother was called home to be with the Lord.

Mae, as she was affectionately known was educated in the public schools of Richland County.

Mae enjoyed many hobbies such as fishing, singing, reading, cooking, and the one thing that many could depend on her for was good advice. She brought so much love, joy, and laughter to her family and friends. She touched every life she met. She was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend.

Mae was preceded in death by her father, George Thomas Green; Mother, Jessie Bell Reese Green; and two brothers, George Green, Jr. and Tony Leon Green.

Mary Elizabeth Anderson leaves to cherish her fond memory: her loving childing, Robert Edward (Tammy) Anderson Jr., Michael Bernard (Sheila) Anderson, Quincy Lamont Anderson, Joy Elizabeth Gardner, Lawanda Denise Anderson, and Anthony Devon (Trenisha) Anderson, all of Columbia, South Carolina; four loving sisters, Evelina Hagler, Betty (John) Farley, Loretta Green Prophey, and Jessie Lee Green; three loving brothers, Geoffry Thomas Green, Melvin Green, and Rickey Green, all of Columbia, South Carolina; one aunt, Alberta Brown of Raleigh, North Carolina; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and caring friends all of whom will miss her dearly.
