Martin D. Yarbrough was born on May 9, 1984, in Columbia, South Carolina, the beloved son of Reginald Yarborough and Kathrine “Lois” Jamison-Yarbrough. He departed this life on Wednesday, April 29, 2026.
Throughout his life, Martin remained steadfast in confessing his faith in Christ. He was educated in the Richland School District One public schools and carried with him a strong sense of dedication to family and community.
Martin was known for his caring spirit and willingness to help others in any way he could. He found great joy in cooking on the grill, working on cars, and spending time outdoors fishing. He also had a gift for carpentry, often using his skills to renovate bathrooms and build decks in his spare time. His vibrant personality and warm presence made him the life of the party, and he brought light and laughter wherever he went.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gilbert and Junnie Mae Jamison of Columbia, South Carolina, and Lorenzo and Betty Thurman of Houston, Texas.
Martin leaves to cherish his memory his beloved children, Nia Yarbrough, Miracle Marshall, Tychun Entzminger, and Kimbella Yarbrough, all of Columbia, South Carolina; his loving parents, Reginald and Kathrine “ Lois” Yarbrough of Houston, Texas; his sisters, Erica (Paul) Foster of Columbia, South Carolina, Amber Yarbrough, and Nakethia Smith, both of Houston, Texas; his brother, Nathaniel Fobbs of Dallas, Texas; his aunt, Mary Ellison of Columbia, South Carolina; his uncle, Tony (Lilla) Jamison of Columbia, South Carolina; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will deeply miss him.
