After raising her children, Martha went on to work at Olympia Mills. Later in her life, her love for cooking led her to the Food Service Industry, where she used her talents as Head Cook at Crane Creek Elementary School, St. Andrews Middle School, Columbia High School and Johnson Food Services at Fort Jackson. She was then recruited by the Food Service Department at Baptist Hospital from which she retired after many years of dedicated service.
