Marion Theodore “WINE” Wilson was born on May 8, 1954, in Kingstree, South Carolina, the beloved son of the late Edward and Georgia Wilson. On Sunday, October 12, 2025, he was called home and entered eternal rest peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family.
In 1975, Marion married the love of his life, Emma Lee McClary Wilson, and together they shared 39 years of marriage until her passing in March 2015. Their union was one of devotion, strength, and unwavering commitment, a bond that laid a strong foundation for their family of four children for generations to come.
Marion was a dedicated and hardworking man who spent 28 years with Pepsi Cola of Columbia, SC as a forklift operator, a role he carried with pride and responsibility. Outside of work, he found peace by the water with a fishing pole in hand, playing a hand of Spades, and joy in watching football, never missing a chance to cheer for his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Emma Lee McClary Wilson; and siblings, James Wilson, Kent Leonard Wilson, Christabell Brown, and Audrey Fleming.
Marion leaves to cherish loving memory his adoring children, Marion (Romona) Wilson of Ludowici, GA. Aleecia Wilson of Saint Helena Island, SC, Dwayne (Bridgette) Wilson of Columbia, SC; Lorraine (Kristopher) Burton of Aiken, SC; and Shanice Wilson of Columbia, SC. He is also remembered with love by his nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, who will carry forward his strength, wisdom, and legacy; he is also survived by his loving siblings, Betty Cunningham, Emily Wilson, Willie (Leeola) Wilson, and Luther (Percilla) Wilson, all of whom will miss him dearly.
Marion “WINE” Wilson lived a life of quiet strength, dignity, and independence. Though he has gone on to rest, the values he instilled hard work, resilience, and love will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
He now rejoins his beloved wife, Emma, in eternal peace.
