Mario L. Harrison, age 37, departed this world suddenly on Monday, December 1, 2025. He was born to his parents Debbran Harrison and Lester Best on August 31, 1988, and began his life’s journey in Hillsborough County, Tampa, FL prior to making South Carolina his home.
Mario was preceded in death by his grandparents, Georgia Mae Taylor, Ernestine Best and Nathan Best Sr.
His memory and legacy will live on in his children: Samaria Kaylin Canzater-Harrison and Jamari Leven Canzater-Harrison, with their mother, Samantha Canzater; Kahmarri Bri’Asia Alycia Smith, with her mother, Brittany Smith; A’leasha Zanai Riley, with her mother, Kimberly Riley; Nevaeh Armani Edmonds-Harrison, Marion Leven Harrison Jr., and Caiden Zyir Harrison, with their mother, Laronda Edmonds; and Ean Jerome Taylor Thomas, with his mother, Ebony Rakim-Thomas.
Mario is survived by Brothers: Sylvester Hayward and Troy Hayward (South Carolina), D’Angelo Best, Karrington Best, and Jamal Willingham (Florida); Sisters Rebecca Willabus, Kiara Best, Rhiyan Best, and Ja’Nae Durham (Florida); Stepmother Yolanda Best Anderson (Florida) Aunt: Jewell Jordan (Henry) and Uncle: Nathan Best Jr. (Tammy)(Florida); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends who were touched by his light, his love and his life.
Mario truly loved life and welcomed every experience. He was a free spirit whose love radiated toward those closest to him. Whether he was the focus in a room or quietly observing his surroundings, his energy brought excitement and his laughter infectious. Mario was always ready to teach others or learn something new himself. Time and opportunity are all he ever needed. He approached life with passion and lived boldly, never apologizing for being true to himself. May he rest in freedom, peace but most importantly with love, forever.
