Marian T. Dunmore

Sister Marian Dunmore-Frazier was born on November 10, 1944, in Columbia, South Carolina.  She departed this earthly life on Monday, May 11, 2026.

 From a young age, she displayed a deep devotion to her faith and community. She was a praiser at heart, always lifting her voice in song and prayer, and she cherished the Church and GOD’S words. Her spiritual journey led her to become a devoted member of Bible Way Church of Atlas Road, where she joined under the leadership of the late Bishop A. C. Jackson. Over the years, she served in many ministries, including Ushers, a faithful 5th Sunday Greeter, a member of the 3rd Sunday Choir, Women, and Couples Ministries, touching countless lives with her kindness and dedication. Her unwavering faith and warm spirit became a source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew her.

Sister Marian cherished her “Village” (family) and built a legacy of unity, support, and unconditional love that will endure for generations to come. She was a caring and giving person who would give a helping hand to anyone in need. Whether it was comforting a friend, volunteering at church events, or lending an ear to those who needed guidance. Her home was a place of welcome, laughter, love, and encouragement, and her legacy of compassion and service will be remembered by all who were blessed to know her.

Sister Marian is survived by her loving husband, Johnny Frazier; her devoted children, Wanda Dunmore, Gwendolyn Thomas, Regina (Keith) Jackson, Sandra Tobin, Keashea Dunmore, Douglas Thomas, Phyllis Hiller, and Tyrone (Loraine) Hiller. She was the proud grandmother of sixteen (16) grandchildren; and twenty-eight (28) great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense joy to her life. Sister Marian also leaves behind her beloved sisters, Annette Jordan-Vaughan, Judy Jordan, and Gail Jordan, who were her lifelong companions and friends; along with a host of nephews, nieces, and other loving relatives and dear friends, all of whom will dearly miss her, but rejoice that she is resting with the Lord.
