Mamie L Mack

Mrs. Mamie Lee Mack was born March 2, 1952 in Eastover, South Carolina.  She was born to the late Deacon Samuel and Deaconess Irene Roberts.  She departed this life on Monday, April 23, 2018 at Palmetto Baptist Hospital with her family by her side.

Mamie was a faithful member of Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church where she served as a Deaconess, Praise Team singer, Sunday School Teacher and Church Hospitality committee. She attended the public schools of Richland County and was employed by Gateway Academy.

Mamie leaves to cherish her devoted husband of over 20 years, Deacon Willie Mack Jr. of the home, two daughters, Veronica (James) Merriman of Columbia SC, and Latasha (Jay) Allen of Power Springs GA and one son, Julian Gale of Greenwood SC. From her union with Willie, she was blessed with four daughters, Michelle Mack-Dennis, Wanda Mack, Tammy (Lafonzell) Carmichael and Pamela (Tony) Morris. “Granny Mamie” as she was affectionately called, will be truly missed by her grandchildren, James, Vera, & Jasyah Merriman, and Joseph & Jayden Allen.

Mamie is also survived by two brothers; Samuel (Luella) Roberts, Jr. and Randolph Roberts, four sisters; Catherine (Elvin) Harrison, Dr. Bernice Kennedy, Marilyn (Leroy) Johnson and Brenda Roberts and two sisters in law, Patricia Lynn Roberts and Cindella Roberts, all of Eastover SC; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends.

Mamie was preceded in death by two brothers, Christopher Roberts and Willie Roberts.
