Maddison Kellsey Bethea was born at Lexington Medical Center on the morning of November 6, 2018, to the beloved parents, Tykeem Bethea and Janisha Miller, and the younger sister of Ky’Andre Bethea. After a brief illness, she was called to be an angel with the Lord on Monday, June 16, 2025.
Maddie as she was affectionately called was a shining star who was born with Autism. Though she was different to some, to her family she was a beam of light that could light up any room. She attended Herbert A. Wood Elementary School where she loved her teacher and friends. Her favorite foods were pancakes, macaroni and cheese and a slice of cheese.
Maddison never let Autism stop her. She loved to jump from the chair to the bed, or anything she could use to jump, and jump she did, scaring everyone senselessly! So full of life, Maddie loved to sing, and would do so for hours, singing every song . . .with every word she knew. At times you would hear her up singing at 4:00 am in the morning. Our precious little girl, Maddison also loved outside where she would chase butterflies and rainbow bubbles.
Though Madison is no longer physically with us, we will cherish every moment with the beautiful, sweet memories of her wonderful life. Her laughter, singing, and love of life will be a sweet memory to us as we give her back to God to reign as an angel with Him.
Those who will forever cherish precious memories of Madison are her loving mother, Janisha Miller of the home; father, Tykeem Bethea of Newberry, SC; her big brother and protector, Ky’Andre Bethea; maternal grandparents, John and Pamela Miller of Columbia, SC; paternal grandparents, Kimma Kinard and Eric Bethea, both of Columbia, SC; uncles, Roderick (Shatoya) Miller of Grovetown, GA; Jonathan (Cassy) Miller of San Antonio, TX, Brendon Miller of Columbia, SC and Shakeem Bethea of Newberry, SC; aunts, Kenisha Strothers of Newberry, SC; a host of great uncles, great aunts, cousins, other loving relatives and dear friends, all of whom will forever treasure her precious memories.
