Lloyd Drayton Flemming

Mr. Llyod Drayton Flemming, Sr. was born July 17, 1927 in Eastover, SC. He was the son of Henry and Lottie Williams Flemming., He departed this life on September 6, 2021.

He was educated in the Richland County Public School System. He was employed for SCE&G, from which, he retired.

At an early age he became a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and later became a member of Zion Benevolent Baptist Church where he served for many years until his health failed.

Mr. Flemming was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Lottie Williams Flemming; his wife for over 50 years, Mrs. Mary Weston Flemming; three sons, Arthur Drayton Anderson, Ray Charles Jones, Sr and Lloyd Drayton, Jr.; one daughter, Maryann Kirkland; four sisters, Lucille McLemore, Emma Higgins, Mattie Mae Holliday and Lee Vinnie Taylor; four brothers, John Henry Fleming, Sr, Nathaniel Fleeming, Theodore Flemming, Sr and Issac Fleming and a grandson, Terry Orlando Jones.

Mr. Lloyd Drayton Flemming, Sr. leaves to cherish his memories, his daughters,  Deloris White Sallie (Robert) Livingston and Karenyvette Jones  of Columbia, South Carolina and Lois (Bert) Barnett, Peggy (Ben) Parker of Hopkins South Carolina;step-daughter, Ella (Samuel) Fox of Cleveland, Ohio;  step-son, John Edward (Wilma) Jackson of Hopkins, South Carolina; two sisters, Mae (Frank) Taylor of Eastover, South Carolina and Cheryl Singletary of Hopkins, South Carolina; twenty-nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and other relatives and caring friends.
