Coach Lloyd Dillon, Sr. was born July 15, 1952, in New Orleans, Louisiana, the beloved son of the late McCharles “M. C.” and Aretha Smith Dillon. On the morning of Monday, February 9, 2026, by the providential hand of the Almighty God, an Angel was dispatched to Lloyd’s bedside as he peacefully slept, with instructions to serve final summon on one of God’s children, Lloyd Dillon, Sr. He hastily headed the Master’s call as he climbed the chariot of eternal life.
Coach Lloyd as he was affectionately called was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School in New Orleans, Louisiana. He continued his education at Dillard University of New Orleans. He was a lifelong member of Sheet Metal Union Local 38 until he retired.
Though he is no longer physically with us, he has left a legacy of love to all those whose lives he so lovingly touched.
