Lillian Marie Smith

Lillian Smith was born on March 30, 1941 in Yonges Island, SC.  to Helen Green, later became Helen Simmons and to Loni Smith.  She was raised from a hand baby by Cecilia Smith and her sister Marie Smith.  Margie was her nickname. 

Lillian attended Baptist High School in Yonges Island, SC.  She graduated and attended business school of Trident in North Charleston.  She married Melvin Norris, and had two children, first born Mona Norris and second Darilyn Norris. 

Later she was employed by Chase Manhattan Securities, where her and her daughter Mona was employed for years. 

She was a member at St. Luke AME Church before moving to New Jersey. 

She leaves behind, two daughters, oldest, Mona Norris, and Darilyn Norris.  Three grands, Jamele Denzel Norris, Cierra Dawn Norris, Shakeria Norris and Takia Littles.  Two great grands, Jaiden Serene Anderson and Nia Grace Littles.  Sisters, Mary, Beatrice and Michelle. This includes Lillian’s immediate family.  A host of cousins, nieces and nephews.  Special friends Maggie and Priscilla.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Ida Dickson and Juanita Myers.
