Leon Walker, affectionately known as “Pee Wee,” was born January 24, 1956, in Manning, South Carolina, the beloved son of Margaret Miller. He entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at the Lexington Medical Center, in West Columbia, South Carolina.
Leon had a lighthearted personality that was exhibited throughout his life with his infectious smile. He was educated in the public schools of Clarendon County. Whether at church, school or in the community, people were drawn to him because of his kind spirit. His love for God, family and friends was evident by his actions of dedication to all.
Leon’s spiritual nurturing started at an early age at Rock Hill Missionary Baptist Church and as he journeyed through life, he did not depart from it. Later in life as he made his home in Richland County, he joined the New Laurel Street Missionary Baptist Church where he was an active member of the congregation.
Though he is no longer physically with us, he has left a legacy of love to all those whose lives he so lovingly touched.
Leon leaves to cherish his memory a son, Nijai (Ashley) Leon Walker, Sr.; grandchildren, Nijai, Jr., Kianna and Jayden; his loving mother, Margaret Miller; bonus son, James I. Charley, Jr.; special caregiver, Tracie Milton; and a host of other loving relatives and dear friends, all of whom will dearly miss him.
