Leon Rivers

Leon “Lee” Rivers was born August 6, 1953 to Charles and Elizabeth Gilmore-Rivers. Leon Passed away Sunday, October 10, 2021 at Prisma Health Baptist in Columbia, SC.

He attended the public schools in Lower Richland County. Leon was employed by Johnson’s Sanitation and Cloud’s Sanitation as a driver for years.

Leon was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert “Joe Louis” Hopkins, Charlie Hopkins, Ernest Hopkins, Charles “Pete” Rivers, Willie Rivers; sister, Mary Harris and his children, Stacey Arc hie and Toby Rivers.

Leon leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, BeLinda Rivers; sons, Corey (Terrie) Rivers, Coby (Tabitha) Rivers, Joey (Benita) Rivers; daughters, Tammy (Ron) Davis and Shinda Watson; brothers, David (Alisha) Rivers and Timothy (Hattie) Rivers; brother-in law, Isaac Harris; seventeen grandchildren; one great-grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends whom will miss him dearly.
