Leon Jackson, of Hartsville, South Carolina, died on Friday, July 31st at CaroMont Regional Medical Center. He was a graduate of Hartsville High School. He was also a retired Service Member of the United States Army, and a Long-Distance Truck Driver for Builder’s Transportation Company. Leon was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. His family loved him dearly and he loved them. His many sacrifices and contributions truly made a difference in the lives of his loved ones. He will truly be missed and never forgotten.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Valeria Teachey; father, Curtis Gilmore; mother, Edith Jackson; step-son, Aubrey Pressley; sister, Joann Benjamin and nephew, Terrance Jackson.
He is survived by his stepdaughter, Keylow Teachey; step-son, Mark Weston; sister, Brenda Jackson; brother-in-law, Timothy Benjamin; nephews, Cecil Jackson and DesmondJackson; niece, Tianya Jackson; grandchildren, Valeria Weston-Simon, Aubrey Pressley, Jr., Ahenyea Weston, Asha’ Thompson, Aubrianna Pressley, Amber Gleaton, Taylor Gleaton, Ajia Cain and Adonnis Weston; great grandchildren, Breylan Simon, Jordyn Thompson and Zykez Thompson; best friends, Carl Keys, Alvin Cuffie, Johnny Durant and Leon Ridges (Fishing Buddy) and a host of other beloved family members.
