Leo Bell Obituary

Leo Talmage Bell was born August 6, 1949 in Columbia, SC. He was the son of the late Martha Ann Bell and the late Chalmers Bell. He peacefully departed this life on Monday, September 28, 2020 at Prisma Health Richland Hospital in Columbia at the age of 71.

Leo attended the public schools of Richland County and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School. He retired after many years of dedicated services from South Carolina Department of Mental Health Environmental Services. Mr. Bell was a member of Central Baptist Church, where he attended faithfully and regularly until his health declined.

Leo was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Though he is no longer physically with us, his kind spirit and treasured memories will remain in the hearts and lives of all those who knew and loved him.

Mr. Bell was predeceased by his wife, Mamie Bell; parents, Martha A. and Chalmers Bell; sister, D’Jaris Bell-Glenn and a brother, Robert M. Bell.

Those who will forever cherish found and precious memories of him are his two loving daughters, Sabrina (Eric) Bell of Blythewood, SC and Tracy Wright of Columbia, SC; son, Cory Bell of Columbia, SC; five grandchildren, Tiffany Jenkins, Tyler Jenkins, both of Columbia, SC, Mikayla Jeter, Da’Nya Bell and Xavier Jeter all of Blythewood, SC; great-grandson, Savion Jenkins of Columbia, SC; brother in law, Raymond Wright of Columbia ,SC; aunt, Cleo Fair of Columbia, SC; a host of other loving nephews, nieces, relatives and caring friends all of whom will truly miss him dearly.
