Leo Bailey Obituary

Mr. Leo Bailey was born on February 6, 1955 in Columbia, South Carolina. He was the son of the late John Henry and Flora Lee Stroman. Leo departed this earthly life on Monday, May 18, 2020.

Mr. Bailey was educated in the public schools of Richland County. At an early age, he entered the workforce.

Leo was a strong patriarch of his family and a good friend to many. He enjoyed listening to music and working in the yard.

Mr. Bailey was an avid spades player. You could often find him at the card table with his son, Tony, and his brother-in-law, Scoot talking smack and issuing a beat down in spades. In his latter years, Leo’s purpose was fulfilled when he became a caregiver to his mother and his twin brother.

Leo was preceded in death by his parents, Joh  n Henry and Flora Lee Stroman; three brothers Leon Bailey, Benjamin Bailey, and John Henry Stroman; and a sister, Lizzie Geiger.

Mr. Leo Bailey leaves to cherish his precious memories: his wife, Andrea Bailey; sons, Antonio (Tokura) Howard, Carlos (Tammy) Jenkins, Brandon Wise, and Jonathan Bailey; daughters, Shatarri L. Willis, LaCosha (Jerry) Washington, Taquedra Gleaton, and Taqueda Gleaton; three brothers, Leroy (Robin) Bailey, Henry Lewis Stroman, and Darren Layseth; three sisters, Carolina (Eddie) Gilliam, Carol Gamble, and Linda Isaac; 34 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews all of whom will miss him dearly. He also leaves to cherish his memory his first wife, Reverend Veronica H. Bailey.
