Mr. Lemmie Weeks Jr., was born on February 8, 1955, the beloved son of the late Lemmie Weeks Sr., and Elizabeth Nixon Harrison Weeks in Columbia, SC. He departed this life on Monday, May 12, 2025, in Columbia, South Carolina.
Lemmie attended the public schools in Columbia, SC and was employed by Jenerette Custom Masonry until his health declined.
Lemmie enjoyed playing basketball, riding his bike, and taking his nieces and nephews on long walks before ending their day with a trip to one of the neighborhood stores.
Although not a member, at an early age Lemmie attended Young’s Chapel Baptist Church with his mother.
Lemmie was a staple in his community, often helping the Seniors with yard work and just having good conversations, while making sure they were all safe.
In addition to his parents, Lemmie was preceded in death by three brothers, Benny R. Weeks, Paul Harrison, and Henry Nixon Sr.; and his sister, Bettye Goodwin.
Lemmie leaves a legacy of love, laughter and great memories with his family including his daughter, Kimberly; three nephews and one niece, Reginal (Lil Regg), Roderick (Keturaah), Tobias (Bubba) and Elizabeth (Nesha) Weeks; as well as his great-nephew, Ramon (Ace) Weeks that were all raised in the home; brothers, Reginal (Marilyn) Weeks Sr. and Marvin (Lillie-Mae) Harrison Sr; sisters, Linda Weeks Wannamaker, Brenda (Harold) Weeks, Lovell Harrison Parks and Ann Harrison Draper; nieces, nephews, cousins, best buddy, Ed; and a host of other loving relatives and dear friends, all of whom will miss him dearly
