Larry Thomas Martin

Larry Thomas Martin (69), son of the late Zeb and Carrie Robinson Martin, was born on July 17, 1953, in Columbia, South Carolina. He departed this life to join his Heavenly Father on Monday, May 15, 2023, at his residence surrounded by his loved ones.

Larry, fondly known as “Dusty”, graduated from AC Flora High School in 1972. In September of 1972, he joined the United States Navy and was honorably discharged in 1975. Shortly after, he attended Columbia College from 1975-1977.

He began his chosen career path as a certified pharmacy technician at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia and retired in 2005 from Baptist Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina. He was united in holy Matrimony to Patricia Martin in 2003.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by three of his brothers, Master Sergeant Leon Martin, Darryle Martin, and Harold Martin and two sons, Larryl and Darryl Franklin.

He leaves to celebrate his memory his wife, Patricia Martin; his daughters, Letrender Dobey (Johnny), Kiel Martin, Dr. Danielle Martin, and her mother, Cynthia Patterson; and stepdaughter, Kesha Waiters; three brothers, Walter Martin (Janie), Wayne Martin (Sonya), and James Martin (Lucy); two sisters, Christine Lucas, and Alma Martin; and a host of other loving relatives and dear friends, all of whom will miss him dearly.
