Larry Randolph Obituary

Larry Trent Randolph went home to be with the Lord on April 27, 2020. He was born in Columbia, South Carolina. Larry was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Janie Mae Randolph Bell- Whitaker and step-father, Milton Denzo Whitaker.

Larry, affectionately known as Farid, was a graduate of the Trenton, New Jersey public school system. Upon his graduation from Tuskegee University, Larry enlisted in the United States Army where he maintained his primary role of Utility Helicopter Repairer for over 5 years. While in the Army he received various decorations including: Aircraft Crewman badge, NCO Professional Development ribbon, Marksman, Overseas Service ribbon, Army Service ribbon, and a Good Conduct medal.

Larry was a very young man when he developed a love for Allah, The Masjid and the Islamic faith which he held onto throughout his many journeys in life. If Farid was in town, he would always walk you to your car or escort you home safely. He would lay in a puddle of mud to clear the way for the Seniors. He secured you. If He stopped by and you were working on a project, He wouldn't leave until the job was done. He was generous to a fault. Farid was like a bird, coming in and out of your life reminding you that you were loved for the sake of God.

Left to cherish Larry’s precious memories are his siblings, Anthony C. Bell (Ivori) of New Jersey, Aljoshua Bell and Rahman A. Whitaker both of St. Louis, Missouri, Jamil V. Kelty (Derrick), Denzorra M. Whitaker, Kainearra R. Whitaker, and Shareef Whitaker all of South Carolina; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends all of whom will miss him dearly.
