Laquatta Charmaine Cooper, affectionately known as “KEKE” was born September 19, 1994, the daughter of Ernest (Ella) Cooper, and the late Shirley Williams. She gained her heavenly wings on Friday, January 16, 2026, at her residence, in Sumter, South Carolina.
“KeKe” as she was affectionately called was educated in the Public School System of Sumter, South Carolina. Laquatta began her career working at Pilgrim's Pride, Unifirstand Becton and Dickerson, all of Sumter, South Carolina and McIntyre in Columbia.
She accepted Christ at an early age. Laquatta loved and lived life to the fullest. She was humble and always the life of the party. She loved to laugh, and you rarely saw her without a smile. KeKe loved her family and friends, but her boys were whom she treasured the most.
In addition to her mother, Shirley, she was also preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents.
Those who are forever cherishing fond and precious memories are her two adoring sons, Ke’Monte Richardson and Ke’shaad Richardson both of Columbia, SC; her father, Ernest (Ella)Cooper of Marion, SC; her only sister, Diane Williams of Sumter, SC; two brothers, Jerry Williams and Jarrell (Uvonne) Cooper both of Sumter, SC; three nieces, Maelynn and Kylynn Cooper; a very special niece, Tatiyana Porter, all of Sumter, SC; three nephews, Deontae Williams and Larrell Cooper and Lerraj Cooper, all of Sumter SC; and precious memories to her special friends, Nekeya Spann and Traquan Scarborough, both of Sumter, SC; as well as a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and other loving relatives and dear friends, all of whom will dearly miss her.
