Khajari Jamal Brown, son of Tanesha Gridine and the late Anthony T. Brown, Sr., departed this life on August 2, 2020 at the Lexington Medical Center in Lexington, SC.
He was affectionately known as “Jari”, short for Khajari. He touched so many people in different ways that he retained multiple nicknames, such as Jaraqq, K.J.B, Ja, Lil Pebo and Old Dude. He had all these nicknames for reasons, but Old Dude suited him well. His kindred spirt and ways of thinking and conversations was if he had the knowledge and wisdom of an old spiritual soul.
Khajari attended school in the District One area. He was a graduate of C.A. Johnson High School, Class of 2019. He was a very very popular and prominent student. He was crowned Homecoming King and MVP (P.O.T.Y) Basketball player of the year.
His warm and gracious heart was received and embraced by so many. His drive and determination to compete and complete any task was a great influence among many, He walked with such poise and confidence, keeping his eyes not only on the prize, yet, the sparrow kept his eyes on him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Anthony T. Brown, Sr.; grandfather, Gonzales Bracy, Jr. and maternal grandmother, Emma R. Noble.
