Keyon S. Young

Keyon S. Young was born January 23, 1982, the beloved son of the late David and Mary Young.  Keyon tragically departed his life  on Friday, August 25, 2023, while working at Southeastern Concrete Products.

Keyon attended the public schools of Richland District Two including Blythewood Elementary and Ridgeview High School. He was formally employed with Trane before working at Southeastern Concrete Products.

Keyon was a quiet, private young man. He had a love of  restoring older model cars, wearing  baseball caps and designer sneakers. He will be missed by all those who loved and knew him.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Donnie Cornelius; sister, Marsha Young; grandparents, Lonzo Sr., (Annie Mae) Cornelius; aunts Dorothy Walker, Naomi Tymes ,Vivian Mack, and Connie Turnipseed; uncle, Christopher Cornelius; and two cousins, Anthony Turnipseed and Todd Cornelius.

Keyon is lovingly survived by his brother, Fredrick (Yvette) Cornelius; three nieces, Nychelle Cornelius, Alexis Cornelius, and Valerie Houghton; two nephews, Donavon Cornelius and Willard Houghton; seven uncles, Lonzo Cornelius Jr., Herbert Lee Cornelius, JC (Diane) Cornelius, Michael (Faye) Cornelius, Wayne Cornelius and Marvin Cornelius all of Columbia, SC  and Darrell (Tiffany) Cornelius of Hampton, VA; three aunts, Ernestine Ellis, Daisy Young, and Vertelle (James) Hayward; a devoted Godmother, Patricia Jarvis of Columbia, SC; several cousins, and other loving relatives and dear friends, all of whom are broken hearted and missing him dearly.
