Mr. Kendell Moody, Jr., Was born January 30, 2008, to Tahsheba Coleman and Kendell Moody, Sr. at Palmetto Health Baptist Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina. On the early morning of dawn Friday, February 9, 2024, Kendell transitioned from this earthly life to his heavenly home gracefully at his cherished residence in Gaston, South Carolina. His grandfathers, Edward Coleman and Perry "PaPa" Jackson along with his great grandmother, Juanita Horne, preceded him in death.

Kendell attended the public schools of Lexington Two District where he was enrolled in Airport High School as a tenth grader. In and out of school, Kendell enjoyed making everyone he came in contact with feel good about life. And if he could help anyone with anything, he was always willing to lend a helping hand no matter the situation. He was soft spoken with a larger-than-life spirit for life. Kendell liked playing football, basketball, and baseball. His favorite past time was to spend time with his brother and cousin, Kareem and James (Lil' Joe), where they shared a close, loving bond of being together passing their time making music and rapping in the studio and playing sports.

Kendell gentle and loving nature brought joy to everyone around him with his infectious sense of humor and his unique ability to make people laugh and smile. His kindness and compassion touched the lives of many people from different walks of life. He had a genuine heart to ensure all those around him were okay.

Kendell's departure leaves a void in the world—a testament to the profound impact he made during his time among us. Though he has embarked onto his next journey, his spirit shall forever linger in the cherish moments and the echoes of his unwavering kindness. He was deeply loved and will be sorely missed by all who were honored to experience his presence.

Kendell will always be remembered as a young man of smarts and courage who offered bits of wisdom and plenty of love to all his family and friends.

He leaves behind a ton of treasured memories in many hearts to his dearly beloved mother, Tahsheba Coleman of Columbia, SC; his dear father, Kendell Moody, Sr. of Gaston, SC; brothers, Kareem Pelzer-Martin, Mesiyah Coleman, and Sevyn Jones, all of Columbia, SC, and Alexia Griffin-Coleman and Autumn Rickerson, both of Columbia, SC; grandfather, Keith Moody of Columbia, SC; grandmothers, Bevelon Griffin of Columbia, SC and Kathleen Jackson of Gaston, SC; uncles, Cleveland Griffin, James Brown, Walter Brown, Zedekiah Coleman, and Tyrell Dow of Columbia, SC, Kwamane (Tyandra) Horne of West Columbia, SC, and Tellis Horne, Jr. of New Philadelphia, OH; aunts, Amicka Griffin, Tyrisha Dow of Columbia, SC, and Imani Garrett of Lawrence, SC, Keyara (Joseph) Alexander of Columbia, SC; grand uncles, Tellis Horne, Sr. of New Philadelphia, OH, Ralph (Hazel) Horne of Kannapolis, NC, Anthony Moody and Danny Moody of Columbia, SC; grand aunt, Carolyn Dickerson of Columbia, SC, and Grace Riley and Shirley Riley of Columbia, SC; and a host loving cousins, other loving family member and dear friends, all of whom will dearly miss him.
