Karl D. Warren

Karl Dexter Warren departed this life on Thursday, March 26, 2020, at Prisma Health Hospital.  He was born on July 8, 1957, in Dayton, Ohio to the late Reverend Fred Lee Duncan, Sr., and Bernice Jones Warren. 

He was educated in the Public Schools of Dayton, Ohio.  He later moved to South Carolina in the mid-1980s and was employed for approximately 32 years as Manager of the Furniture Barn.  While in Columbia, SC, he met and married the love of his life, Patricia Ann Woodford.  The two were married for 32 years!  To this union, they had one beautiful daughter that he was extremely proud of.  And yes, she was a daddy’s girl.

Karl loved fishing and spending time with his family and friends.  His two grandsons were also the joy of his life.  He was a fun-loving, outgoing and caring person who never met a stranger.  

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings-Bradley L. Warren (Brother); Patricia Ann Warren and Elizabeth Yvonne Warren-Ephriam (Sisters).

He leaves to cherish his memory: His beautiful wife, Patricia Ann Warren, and daughter, Anna Patrice Warren of Columbia, SC; Son, Raymond Allen Karl Warren, of Dayton, OH.  Two grandchildren- Aamir Dexter Warren and Oya Bahari Warren, all of Columbia, SC.; Three sisters-Amanda Killum of Chicago, Ill., Synthia Warren, Brenda Warren, and one brother, Terry Warren all of Dayton, OH; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
