Ms. Josephine Scott was born September 21, 1949, in Eastover, (Richland County) South Carolina. She was the beloved daughter of the late Junior and Creasy Lloyd Scott. Josephine was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 29, 2020 at the Midlands Health and Rehabilitation Center in Columbia, South Carolina.
At an early age, Josephine accepted Christ as her personal Savior and was baptized at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Gadsden, South Carolina.
She was employed by Dorn V.A. Hospital, Columbia, SC for 35 years. She graduated from Webber High School, Eastover, South Carolina.
“Josie” as she was affectionately known, loved to cook, had the greatest sense of family and enough love and compassion for anyone that crossed her path. She loved having her family around. Josephine was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Though she will no longer physically be with us, her loving and kind spirit will forever live in the hearts and lives of all who loved and knew her.
She was preceded in death by five sisters, Pearl Garrick; Bernice S. Haynes; Ethel Mae Scott; Jeanette Johnson, Alice Wyatt; and three brothers, John Louis Scott; Earl Nathaniel Scott and Benjamin Jeffrey Scott.
Those who will forever cherish fond memories are her son Keddrick (Lisa) Scott, daughter Chinaka T. Scott, both of the home; three sisters, Miriam Scott, Jacqueline Scott and Muriel McLaughlin; four brothers, James Scott; Marion (Sandra) Scott; Alexander Scott and Christopher (Amanda) Scott; one grandson, Komaree Scott; four granddaughters, Charmel McCullough, Destiny Scott, Dajah Scott, and Jazmyn Scott; and a host of nephews, nieces and other loving relatives and very (dear) friends too many to name, all of whom join the family in sharing the grief caused by her departure, but rejoice that she is now resting with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ
