Johnny Lee Goodwin was born November 24, 1966, in Columbia, South Carolina, the son of the beloved son of the late Lena Goodwin Johnson. He departed tis earthly life on Saturday, April 18, 2026, in Columbia, South Carolina.
Johnny was educated in the public school of Richland County South Carolina.
Mr. Goodwin was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, Hopkins, South Carolina, where he received and accepted Christ at an early age.
Johnny truly embraced life, possessing an infectious lough and a reputation for his kindness and generous spirit. He was a hardworking and joyful individual, and to have known Johnny was to love him.
Johnny dedicated twenty-seven years of service to Chatham Steel, where he was a valued and beloved employee.
In his leisure time, he enjoyed relaxing at home, listening to music, or watching movies. It is also worth noting that Johnny had a particular fondness for Chinese cuisine. Though he is no longer physically with us, he will be missed by all those who loved and knew him.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Goodwin and step-father, Leon Johnson.
Those who are cherishing fond and precious memories of Johnny are his longtime partner, Tamika D. Miller, and her children who he cherished as his own, Tavarıs Goodman and Kicana Goodman; his loving sister, Regina (Norman) Boule; one caring uncle, Willie (Marion) Johnson; two compassionate aunts, Dorothy Morant and Mary (Archie) Washington, and a host of other relatives and friends, all of whom will miss him dearly.
