Johnnie Mae Brown

Johnnie Mae Brown, born July 14,1945 in Swansea SC to the late Josh Bennett and Francis Viola Bennett. She joined her Heavenly Father on January 9, 2022, at the age of 76.

She has six sisters, Bertie Mae Richardson (Elliott), Almeta McKinsey (Samuel), Mary Blakely (Isaac), Emma Nelson (Charles), Bernetha Walker (Joe), and Elaine Salley; three brothers, JQ (Maggie Lee), Isaiah, and Rev. Clyde Bennett (Rev. Josie).

She was educated in the public schools. Johnnie worked at the Olympia Mill; then retired to stay at home to take care of her children and husband. She attended Zion Hill Baptist Church and served as Marshall on the Usher Board. She also loved fishing, hunting and being entertained by her grandchildren.

Johnnie married the love of her life late Mr. Joseph Brown Jr. During this wedlock she had four children: Joseph Brown (Bridgette), Allen Brown Sr. (Nadine), Patricia Cruz (Julio), and Jennifer Murdaugh (Al). She has ten grandchildren: Christopher (Kionna), Octavia, Allen Jr, Mary (Michael), Diondra, Jen'ard, JaQues, Al'ajaye, Spirit, and Kyes and one great grandchild Christopher Jr. and a host of Nieces, Nephews, and Friends.
