Johnnie Mae Bellamy was born on October 29, 1944 in Live Oak, Florida. She was the youngest born to the late Johnnie Arron Edwards and Ella Mae Sime Edwards. On Wednesday, July 22, 2020, she made her transition from this life at Prisma Health Richland Hospital to be with her heavenly Father. She was preceded in death by her biological parents, adopted parents Joseph (Evelyn) Williams, her husband Herman Bellamy and her brothers Ivory Lee, Willie Steen and Charles James Edwards.
Johnnie Mae was a loving and devoted member of Gunter’s Chapel Baptist Church where she served her heavenly Father faithfully until her death. She was a member of the Gospel Choir, Musical Choir, Missionary Society and the Gunter’s Chapel Hospitality Committee.
She is survived by her five children, Angela Cole, Diana (Albert) Taylor, William Merritt, Jr., Yvonne W, Sinclair Clarence (Sonya) Lewis and stepson, Mitch (Shirlyn) Bellamy. Nine grandchildren, Ameka Williams, Saleena Buckner, Travis Buckner, Troy Williams, Andrew (Desiree) Taylor, Jasmine Adams, Johnathan (Brinna) Dansby, Azia Lewis and Tatianna Jacobs. Thirteen great grandchildren, a great-great grandchild and a host of family in Florida. A special family in Columbia, South Carolina, Jack (Saleema) Cobb and Family.
