On Thursday, December 6, 2018, Mr. John Henry “Motorcycle” McCreary entered into his eternal rest after a long stressful illness. Mr. McCreary was the son of the late Mr. Henry McCreary and Lonnie Bell Curry McCreary. He was born on July 16, 1943 in Aiken County, South Carolina. Mr. McCreary was educated in the public schools of Columbia, South Carolina. Mr. McCreary will be remembered for his loving care and concern for others. He never met a stranger. Those left to cherish fond and precious memories of John Henry are his loving sisters, Elouise Curry of Columbia, SC, Teddie Kovach of Desert Hot Springs, CA, Mable Bell of Springfield, SC, and Connie Smith of Detroit, ME; brother, Anthony Smith of Tennessee; five grandchildren. Khalia, Tyesha, and Tina Ravenell, Kierra Borum, Robert (Tina) Ravenell; one aunt, Azalee Curry; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives that will miss him dearly.
