John Allen McCall, affectionately known as “Tean” and “Frog” was born in Dillion, SC September 11, 1958 to the late Della Page McCall and David McCall. He peacefully transitioned from his earthly home to his heavenly home November 30, 2020.
John was educated in the public schools of Latta, SC, and Farmingdale HS, NY, from which he graduated.
Upon graduation, John served his country honorably in the US Army, receiving an honorable discharge. At the time of his death, John resided in Columbia, SC.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, siblings David McCall and Carolyn McCall, sister-in-law Gloria McCall, brother- in -law James Myers and nephew Kevin Cummings Jr.
John will be forever known for his passions in life; fishing, flea markets, playing cards, and love for family and friends. He spent many hours at various fishing spots throughout the state, often sharing his catches with family and friends. He enjoyed collecting and amassed a huge variety of eclectic items he sold at flea markets, yard sales, or shared with family. He was a sharp dresser and master of the two step dance. He loved playing cards, often with his nephews with whom he shared a special love and bond that was equally returned.
Life with Tean was flavorful like a box of chocolates, with his gentle and fun loving spirit, generous heart, infectious laughter and ability to make others laugh. He was so proud of and loved his daughter Majiya and his family. He had a charismatic personality and never met a stranger. He will forever be known as the GRAND MASTER & FLEA MARKET KING and will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
