John Gray, Sr.

John Gray, Sr. was born on September 20, 1955 to Willie and Genova Gray in Columbia, SC. He departed this life on March 31, 2021.

John attended C.A. Johnson High School. John was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved animals and being outdoors. He especially loved his cats and dogs. John also loved spending time with family and friends. He also enjoyed listening to music.

He was preceded in death by his son, Benjamin Gray; father, Willie Gray and a brother-in law, James Watson, Jr.  

Those left to cherish his fond precious memories are his loving wife of 45 years, Barbara Gay; sons, John Gray, Jr, Terrell Gray and Frank Wilson; daughters, Barbara Ann Gray and Karen Gray; four grandchildren, Jasmine Gray, Terriana Gray, Benjamin Gray, Jr and Demetris Palmer; great-grandchild, Alexander Boston; two sisters-in law, Susie (Daniel) June and Julia (Jimmy) Lewis; one brother-in law, Clarence (Janet) Watson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whom will miss him dearly.
