Joe Louis Evans

Joe Louis Evans was born March 10, 1958, in Winnsboro, (Fairfield County, South Carolina.  He was the beloved son of the late John Frank and Ethel Lee (Gratic) Evans.  He departed this earthly life on Sunday, October 2, 2022, at Prisma Baptist Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina.

Joe was educated in the public schools of Fairfield County.  He was employed in the logging industry for many years. 

Mr. Evans was a devoted and longtime member of St. Matthews First Baptist Church in Winnsboro, South Carolina. 

Joe was a loving and devoted father who enjoyed being around family and friends and dancing. Though he is no longer physically with us, his loving and kind spirit will forever live in the hearts and live and of al who loved and knew him.

In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his sisters, Lillie Catherine Johnson, and Barbara Ann Wilson.

Those who are cherishing his fond and precious memories are his two sons, Mark (Tameka) Hill of Columbia, South Carolina; and Johnathan (Aaliyah) Hill of Charleston, South Carolina; his brother, David Evans of Winnsboro, South Carolina; and his sister, Verna E. Morsby of Columbia, South Carolina; and a host of grandchild, great-children, nephews, nieces, and other loving relative and dear friends, all of whom join the family in sharing the grief caused by his departure.
