Mother Joanne Meggett Blocker, daughter of the late Joseph Meggett, Sr. and Clara Pollock Meggett, was born August 11, 1938, in Ballentine, South Carolina. She departed this life to be with the Lord on Friday, May 20, 2022.
Mother Joanne attended the public schools of Richland/Lexington Counties where she graduated with honors as Salutatorian from Richlex High School. She was employed with the Allied Chemical Corporation from which she retired after more than 35 years of dedicated service.
Mother Joanne gave her life to Christ at an early age. She was the "Church Mother" and member of New Beginnings Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
Joanne was a very positive and loveable person. She never complained, and always maintained a great faith in God. Mother Joanne was loved by all who knew her.
