Sgt. Jevron Duvall Davis (affectionately known as “Big Jake”) was born in Columbia, SC on February 2, 1991 to Audrey D. Allison. He earned his wings on Friday, September 11, 2020.
Jevron joined Bethlehem Baptist Church at a young age and was a member of the Jr. Musical Choir.
Jervon was educated in Richland County School District 1. He graduated from W.J. Keenan High School in 2009, where he was an honor roll student, a member of the Marching 101 Band, played B-Team Basketball, and ran track. He was a recipient of the Columbia Urban League Young and Gifted award in 2009.
Jervon then furthered his education at Johnson and Wales University in North Miami, Florida and received his Bachler of Science Degree in Criminal Justice in 2013. After receiving his degree, he joined the United States Army Reserve in 2013. While a member of the reserves, he was deployed to Kuwait. Upon his return, he joined the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy and State of South Carolina Department of Probation, Parole, and Pardon Services and was appointed as a representative to the Midlands Gang Task Force. He was also employed with Center for Learning and the Babcock Center in Columbia, SC.
Jervon was preceded in death by his grandmother, Deaconess Ella Mae Corbett Trapp and his grandfather James Waymyers.
To remember his smile, he leaves cherished memories to his mother and father, Audrey Allison and Frank Davis Jr.; his biological father, Dervin Moten; his brothers, William Allison III, Katrell Smith and Brandon Burton; sisters, Tasharre Moten and Shakeya Moten; grandfather, Deacon Willie Trapp; grandmother, Evelyn Moten; godparents, Michael and Lola Johnson Terry; his special children, Harley Davis (Dominion Pinscher) and Jake the Snake; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.
