Jessie Mae Davis was the proud mother of five children, grandmother to eleven grandchildren, and great-grandmother to six great-grandchildren. She had an immense love for her siblings, children, grandchildren, extended family, church family, and community.
She found joy in cooking, home decorating, spending quality time with loved ones, and always took pride in her appearance-believing in looking beautiful every day.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers Jerry "Zack" Wilson, William Wilson, Earl Wilson, Woodrow "June" Wilson, and Nathan "Crow" Wilson; her former husband Robert Jack Davis; her grandson Antwan Payne; her granddaughter Denise Grate; and her great-grandson Dion Briggs.
Jessie Mae Davis leaves to cherish her loving memory two sisters, Mildred Holley and Louise (Thelma) Barfield, and Janie Haynie (sister-friend); one brother, Tommy Wilson (Annie); two sons, Cornell V. Davis (Deborah) and Wayne E. Davis (Mary); and three daughters, Teresa Davis White (Steve), Jackie Davis Seegars (Eddie), and Yatia Davis.
She is also survived by her grandsons Bobby "B.J." Gardner, Justin Gardner, Cornell "Trey" Davis II, and Curtis "Mann" Washington; her granddaughters Kristal Davis, Stevonda White, Chanell Davis, and Lakeshia Simmons; her great-grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces, extended family members, friends, neighbors, and loved ones.
Jessie Mae Davis will be remembered for her loving heart, unwavering faith, strong family values, and the countless lives she touched. Her legacy of love, service, and grace will live on forever.
