Jermaine Cooper

Jermaine Cooper, affectionately known to family and friends as “Big Poo” was born December 28, 1971, in Columbia South Carolina the beloved son of Deloris Green Flemming and the late Leon Cooper. He departed this earthly life on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at PRISMA Health Richland Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina.

Jermaine was educated in the public schools of Richland County and was a graduate of Lower Richland High School. He was employed at GEO Care Inc. Jermaine loved to cook and was a pit master chef. He also enjoyed a good football game and was a die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leon Cooper; stepfather, Daniel Fleming; and his brother, Alton Cooper.

Jermaine leaves to cherish his precious memories his son, Jaden Javon Cooper; mother, Deloris Fleming; brother, Matthew Flemming; aunts, Katie Cooper Jacobs and Bernice Scott; special friend, Shelby Whitmore; stepchildren, Shicora Taylor, Mataga Whitmore, Cierra Bailey,  and Corey Taylor; and a host of nephews, and other loving relatives and friends, all of whom will dearly miss him.
