Mr. Jeffie Williams was born on December 30, 1940 in Pomaria, SC. He was the beloved son of the late George and Ethel Cannon Williams. On Saturday, February 13, 2021, he departed his earthly life.
Mr. Williams attended the public schools of Newberry County, graduating from Gallman High School in 1963. He then married his wife Edna Mae Cannon in 1964, they later moved to Columbia, SC where he worked as a delivery driver for Capital Electric Supply Company and retired after 30 years of service.
He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church College Place until his passing. HE was a fraternal member of Yorkrite & Modern Free Masonic Lodge (Lamb of Life) #735 for many years. His hobbies were going fishing and more fishing. He also enjoyed hunting in his earlier years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ethel Williams; a son, Jeffie Williams, Jr; brothers, James, Johnnie, Tommie, George and John Henry; sisters, Lillie Tore, Laura Garmany and Jessie Perez.
Mr. Jeffie Williams leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Edna Mae Williams, Columbia, SC; daughter, Maria (James) Brown, Newberry, SC; son, Jeffery (Diane) Williams, Newberry, SC; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; sister, Marlene Flemon, Pomaria, SC; brother-in law. Haskell Ray Cannon, Chapin, SC and a host of nieces, nephews and many other relatives and caring friends whom will miss him dearly.
