Jeanette Johnson Browne was born on August 15, 1965 in Columbia, South Carolina and departed this earthly life to be with our Lord on Wednesday, April 25, 2018. She was the daughter of Ms. Rosa Mae Walker and the late John Belton Jones.
Jeanette attended school in the Richland County School District. She later graduated from Cornerstone Christian Correspondence School. She was employed many years at Fort Jackson, where she worked as part of the dining staff. She also was employed at the Publix bakery. After leaving the bakery she spent many years as a Home Heathcare Aide. Most recently she worked at Benedict College in the dining facility. Jeanette was a hard-working dedicated employee who was an asset to any company who employed her.
Those left to cherish her life, legacy and precious memories are, her grandfather Broadus Payne and mother Rosa Mae Walker of Columbia, South Carolina; brothers Bernard Johnson, Jerry Johnson; children Lavarsha (Daniel) Kenny, Alicia Johnson, Ronald Washington; five grandchildren Rion Washington, Malayah Kenny, Ronald Washington III, Roland Washington, Ayanah Kenny all of Columbia, South Carolina; devoted aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins; and a host of loving relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her father John Belton Jones, two brothers Tyrone Johnson, Lamonte Black; and two sisters Fredrina Walker, and Vanessa Walker.
