Javan Cornelius Haygood, of 180 Elvington Lane, Lexington, South Carolina was born at Fort Jackson, South Carolina on August 24, 1976 to Marvin Haygood and Mary Lou Pugh Haygood. On Monday, September 7, 2020, he transitioned into eternal life. Because he was part of a military family, Javan attended school in several parts of our country and the world, such as, Augsburg, Germany; Fort Bliss, Texas; Fort Eustis, Virginia; Fort Meade, Maryland; and finally graduating from Lexington High School, Lexington, South Carolina. He enjoyed all sports and was quite a runner and basketball player during his youth.
While stationed in Augsburg, Germany, Javan sang on the Youth Choir of Flax Concern, Church of God in Christ, where he also attended praise and worship service. During his adult life, Javan worked several years at Sysco Foods before he became disabled due to chronic illness.
Javan leaves to cherish his memory, his parents Marvin and Mary Lou Haygood of Lexington, South Carolina; his son, Kobe Alexander Kirk of Blythewood, South Carolina; his daughter, Ravan Breana Haygood of Florence, South Carolina; his brother, Bryant Wayne (Angela) Haygood of Lexington, South Carolina; seven Uncles, eight Aunts and a host of other relatives and friends.
