Jason Brian Goodwin Sr.’s earthly journey started on May 22, 1973. in Columbia, SC. He was the beloved son of the late Albert Goodwin and Rosa Lee Glover. He transitioned into his heavenly home on Thursday, March 27, 2025.

Jason, affectionately known by his friends as “Big Rock,” was educated in the Richland County School District. Jason held many positions in the workforce throughout his life. However, he fell in love with commercial truck driving. After years of experience, Jason became Owner Operator of his company Fully Committed Trucking. He devoted over twenty-eight amazing years of his life to the logistics community.

On March 26, 1996, Jason was united in the bonds of Holy Matrimony to his cherished wife, Anika Goodwin. Jason shared 37 years together, 29 years as husband and wife. More than anything, he adored his loving wife and made sure everyone was aware of how he felt.

Jason was a force to be reckoned with in anything he pursued, and he possessed a very captivating personality. He loved to take care of anyone who needed a helping hand. Jason had a passion for cooking for his family and friends. No matter the situation, you could always count on Jason to brighten the day with a great laugh. Though he will be deeply missed, Jason’s love, wisdom, and legacy will continue to shine in the lives of those he touched.

Those celebrating his life and cherishing loving memories are his devoted wife, Anika Goodwin; two sons, Jason Goodwin Jr., and Jordan Goodwin; daughter,  Brionna Wadlington; four surrogate sons, Kenneth Stallworth of Columbia, SC, Wade Anderson of El Salvador, Saiquan Benn of Columbia, SC, and Dashawn Staten of Allentown, PA; one grandson, Amir Phillip, of Columbia, SC; two sisters, Sarah Washington of Sumter, SC, and Alberta Goodwin of Milton, FL; two brothers, Harry Jones of Eastover, SC, and Jimmy Glover of Columbia, SC; one uncle, Buddy Goodwin (Belinda) of Columbia, SC; one aunt of Eastover, SC; as well as a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends, all of whom will dearly miss him.
